This 4-day tour takes you through the most iconic landscapes of southern Morocco. From Marrakech, you’ll cross the Atlas Mountains via the Tichka Pass, discover the earthen villages of the Ounila Valley, and visit the famous UNESCO-listed kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou. You’ll follow the majestic Drâa Valley to Zagora, once a key stop for Saharan caravans, then head to the golden dunes of Merzouga for an unforgettable night under the stars in the desert. The return journey takes you through the spectacular Todgha and Dades Gorges, the Valley of Roses, and the Skoura palm grove, offering a stunning blend of nature, culture, and Berber hospitality.
After breakfast, depart Marrakech heading south through Berber villages perched on mountain ridges. Cross the Tichka Pass (2,260 m) and detour to Telouet. Arrive in Anmiter, then descend the stunning Ounila Valley, known for its earthen kasbahs and villages. Reach Aït Ben Haddou (UNESCO World Heritage), stop for lunch, then continue through Ouarzazate and Aït Saoun region to Agdez. Meet the magnificent Draa Valley with its vast palm groves and ksour. Arrive in Zagora, check in, dinner and overnight.
Depart Zagora—once the starting point for caravans bound for Timbuktu. Head east along the Taghbalt Valley, then cross a stony desert (reg) to reach Alnif, a fossil region. Stop for lunch. In the afternoon, proceed to the Tafilalet region and arrive at the Merzouga dunes. Welcome tea, then ride camels to your evening camp. Watch sunset, dinner, and overnight under the stars.
Rise early to witness sunrise over the vast dunes, return to the camp for breakfast, then camel ride back to your vehicle. Continue via Rissani and the khettaras of El Jorf. Reach a breathtaking viewpoint over the Tinghir palm grove. Then travel through the magical Todra Gorges—a world-renowned rock climbers’ destination. Lunch. In the afternoon, head to the dramatic Dades Valley. Arrive at your hotel, dinner and overnight.
On the final day, return to Marrakech via the stunning Rose Valley and Skoura oasis before reaching Ouarzazate. Cross the Tichka Pass again. Stop in Tadarte for lunch. Arrive in Marrakech, check in at your hotel, dinner and overnight.
